Cardinal Scale’s CIM Series Continuous In-Motion Checkweighers keep production lines humming, reducing labor costs, and providing accurate weights of each package to .05 lb increments. The CIM series features standard anti-static polyester fabric or optional food-grade conveyor belts with 1/2 horsepower AC motor fixed speeds of up to 120 ft/37 m per minute. The CIM series is available in 100 lb x .05 lb or 200 lb x .1 lb capacities, two different sizes, and two different types of indicators. The CIM series features enter and exit photo eyes, weight or zone classification modes, weight output to printer, simple setup and product changeover, average weight sampling, and they are height adjustable ±2 inches. Options include five-zone checking, variable speed controller, tower light with buzzer, alternate motor, and rejectors (takeaway arms to direct “off” weights to a separate area).

For individual products, get quick, in-motion verification of a targeted weight range. Create up to four lanes of operation customized with barc ode verification or reject systems. For product up to 200 pounds, non-Legal for Trade systems are available with a resolution as precise as one gram, at speeds up to 80 units per minute.

Conveyor Scales
For individual product labeling or weight-data capture, conveyor scales are designed to send weight data to peripheral devices like PCs, printers and weigh price labelers. Flexure Base Scale Design

The MotoWeigh IMW-HD offers industrial strength with uncompromising accuracy. Its flexure base scale design enhances the system's structural strength, digital stability, weight reading accuracy, and ability to adapt to application requirements. Because of the flexure base, the MotoWeigh IMW-HD's scale edges and corners are the strongest areas on the scale structure—ideal for in-motion weighing where loads are applied on one edge of the scale and moved to the other. The flexure base design is built for industrial applications. Because of its rigidity and structural integrity, it has the ability to mechanically filter high-frequency vibrations and sudden impacts prior to reaching the load cell and distorting the weight reading.

Adaptable Configuration

The MotoWeigh IMW-HD is constructed to be easily configurable to meet pre-existing process flows. The control panel, display and in-feed direction are easily reversed or re-arranged to make installation in a pre-existing conveyor line easier.

Industrial Construction

Available with an industrial, mild steel powder-coated frame, the MotoWeigh IMW-HD is built for industrial applications. As an option for non-direct food contact applications, the MotoWeigh IMW-HD is also available in NEMA Type 4X 304 stainless steel construction.

For detecting ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless steel contaminants, MotoWeigh Metal Detection Systems offer a critical balance of sensitivity without the more common show-stopping alarms. Unlike x-ray systems, MotoWeigh Metal Detection Systems are designed to detect disturbances in a generated magnetic fi eld, making them better suited for products varying in size, shape and orientation. Metal detection systems have also been proven to last up to three times longer in harsh industrial settings.
