LS-WIM® Weigh-In-Motion Axle Scale Systems are an ideal alternative to full-length static truck scales. Intercomp’s US-made LS-WIM® system is designed for use in either manned or unmanned applications. The scale can be easily switched between dynamic (in-motion) and static (axle-by-axle) weighing modes, and can provide both individual axle weights and total gross weights. Intercomp's LS-WIM® provides both operational improvements and data-collection efficiency, all at an economical price point due to its small footprint and minimal installation requirements.
The LS630-WIM™ can accommodate nearly any vehicle up to 36 axles and collects individual axle weights and Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). At vehicle speeds up to 6 mph (10 km/h), the system offers an accuracy of 2 to 3% and ±0.5% in static mode. Wide pads allow for accurate results without the hassle of precise wheel placement, including axles with dual tires. A pair of RFX® Wireless Weighing pads, four roll-up ramps and a wireless indicator, or PC software, can fit in the back of a vehicle and be set up in less than 15 minutes.
Intercomp’s strain gauge based Strip Sensors are a unique alternative to traditional static truck scales, or low-speed axle scales where vehicle speeds and sites do not allow large civil works. Strip Sensors allow for higher throughput for high-traffic applications, including Freight Terminals, Commercial Fleet facilities, distribution hubs, and other facilities with space limitations. Installed within channels less than 3" (75 mm) in the pavement, Strip Sensors provide lower cost when compared to alternative scale systems due to minimal installation and maintenance requirements.
